Introduction
Holofy is a community of real estate professionals, property seekers, and industry partners. These Community Guidelines are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all users.
By using Holofy, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban from the platform.
Authenticity and Accuracy
We value honesty and transparency. All users must:
- Provide accurate information about properties, pricing, and availability
- Use real photos and videos that accurately represent the property
- Disclose all material facts about a property
- Not misrepresent qualifications, credentials, or affiliations
- Update listings promptly when information changes
Remember: Misleading content damages trust and may violate advertising standards and consumer protection laws.
Respect and Professionalism
Treat all community members with respect. This means:
- Communicating professionally and courteously
- Responding to inquiries in a timely manner
- Honoring commitments and appointments
- Respecting others' time and privacy
- Providing constructive feedback when appropriate
Prohibited Content
The following content is not allowed on Holofy:
- Discriminatory content: Content that discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Harassment: Bullying, threats, or intimidation of any kind
- Fraudulent listings: Properties that don't exist or are not available as described
- Spam: Repetitive, unsolicited, or irrelevant content
- Illegal activities: Content promoting or facilitating illegal activities
- Adult content: Sexually explicit or inappropriate material
- Violence: Content depicting or promoting violence
- Personal information: Sharing others' private information without consent
Fair Housing Compliance
Holofy is committed to fair housing principles. All users must comply with applicable fair housing laws, including the Equality Act 2010 in the UK and similar legislation in other jurisdictions.
This means you must not:
- Refuse to rent or sell based on protected characteristics
- Set different terms, conditions, or privileges based on protected characteristics
- Advertise preferences, limitations, or discrimination
- Falsely deny availability based on protected characteristics
Content Quality Standards
To maintain a high-quality platform, all content should:
- Videos: Be well-lit, stable, and clearly show the property
- Photos: Be current, high-resolution, and accurately represent the property
- Descriptions: Be clear, complete, and free of excessive capitalization or special characters
- Pricing: Be accurate and include all mandatory fees
Holofy reserves the right to remove content that does not meet these standards.
Intellectual Property
Respect intellectual property rights:
- Only upload content you own or have permission to use
- Do not use copyrighted music, images, or videos without authorization
- Give proper attribution when required
- Do not copy or repurpose others' listings
If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed, please report it through our designated channels.
Safety and Security
Help keep our community safe:
- Meet in safe, public locations when possible
- Verify the identity of people you meet through the platform
- Report suspicious activity immediately
- Do not share login credentials or personal security information
- Be cautious of requests for unusual payment methods
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately using our in-app reporting tools or by contacting us at trust@holofy.io.
When reporting, please provide:
- A description of the violation
- Links or screenshots of the content
- Any other relevant information
All reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team and kept confidential.
Enforcement
Holofy takes violations of these guidelines seriously. Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may take the following actions:
- Warning: A notice about the violation and request to correct behavior
- Content removal: Removal of violating content
- Temporary suspension: Temporary loss of access to the platform
- Permanent ban: Permanent removal from the platform
- Legal action: Reporting to law enforcement when appropriate
Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting appeals@holofy.io.
Please include:
- Your account information
- Description of the enforcement action
- Reason for your appeal
- Any supporting evidence
Appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the one who made the original decision.
Updates to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our services, user feedback, or legal requirements. We will notify users of significant changes.
Your continued use of Holofy after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
